McGalliard Falls in Valdese, North Carolina
Looking for a quick and easy hike with a beautiful waterfall and an old historic mill? This is the one for you.
The falls are located in McGalliard Falls Park in the town of Valdese, North Carolina. The park provides ample parking and easy access.
These falls were once home to the Meytre Grist Mill, built in 1906 by Fred Meytre. The mill was active and operational until 1941 at which time it was forced to close due to a shortage of labor from men who were called to serve in Word War II
